Oleaginous

Acaulescent petals float to the ground,
Unbounded to the world around.
Oleaginous fills the air,
Water smears without a care.

Plush feathers capture dreams,
Ivory reflects on rushing streams.
Serpents glower contained by glass,
Infant bunnies protected by grass.

Branches sprawl; afternoon nap,
Song of leaves swirl and tap.
Cascading diamonds veil rock,
Small sailboats prepare to dock.

Placid colors mingle and twist,
Each stroke carries magnificent risk.
Set aside each fear and worry,
Let the brush tell a story.

Whoa, I've never read a piece such as this one. Your words flow so cleverly and captivatingly.
'Let the brush tell the story.'
So many good stanzas, that's my favorite line though.

    My favorite stanza:)

One does get lost in a painting somtimes..and in painting it too, I guess, lol.

I smiled about the risk of addding a new color, because it is indeed risky, but maybe that is also the charm of doing it, I feel.

Although this was a rhyming poem, it was not boring in the least, I loved the melodious feel of it.

    Nice work, Amanda!

    5/5 Ingrid
