This work was so strong, I was almost in the room watching you cry over such painful memories.
I think it sometimes helps to put these things into verse, and I hope your poem did so.
I'll await your next poem and look forward to reading it! Best Wishes, Ray

Abuse is something, I wish this world never knew. It's so sad when a child is abused, and they have to grow with all these physical and emotional scars. It breaks my heart, powerful words.
    Take care

Amanda, this really made me sad, for this is something I can kind of relate to, your children must be proud of you and so should you be. :) Good write.

I had two wonderful parents ripped from my life way to soon, leaving scars of lonliness but I always knew I enjoyed love.. this stanza spoke to me more then the others but the whole poem was stellar---

No, my children will feel loved,
I will fulfill their every need.
With a caring mother and father
helping them grow as tiny seeds.

A strong title that pulled me in.

As for the poem itself I was blown away by the feeling placed inside it. You really let the reader into poem without holding anything back. I also liked your flow.
