Benevolence

by Liquid Grace   Jun 1, 2011

Perforated lines scatter across my life
threatening it's very foundation
the life force that keeps me grounded
security stolen in a breathless cry

Raw truths, painful realizations
self reflections, unsheathed disbelief
standing in a pool of dirty souls
numb from the pressure of existing

Abandonment written in the stars
the man on the moon sympathizes
to understand the depths of ones heart
loosing grip, loosing all self control

These walls haven't stood the test of time
built in an eager time of defense
sheltering from hate, love, any emotion
trust, a thing read in fairy tale books

Estranged from the notion of a good heart
judges criteria forever changing
chances a thing unheard of in this life
in that moment he takes me by the heart.

Holy... Whoa. Your writing amazes me. You put me in a place and whirl my mind, I never knew... Wow.

That stanza is great! It speaks to me as I feel this was written for me. :0

That's my favorite line. Something similar to that is tattooed on my back.

I love everything about this creation!
But the final verse describes the door of the heart suddenly opening (again), to allow love to be acknowledged and accepted.
Really warming to my heart! Thanks for the sharing. Ray
