Quiet

The world has never seemed
so quiet
so dark
It 2:30 in the afternoon
and the world is silent
The rain falls down
yet does not hit the ground
I hear the music in the backgroud
but there is no sound
Gloomy yet bright out
The world seems so mixed up
The house so dark
so cold
so empty
Is this me
or has the world turned
No sounds
No light
Possibly no life
