Wait for the End

by HealingHearts   Jun 5, 2011

Tell me a story
About our lives
I need your voice
Like the dark needs the light
We can't be ourselves
Till the time is right
I'll wait for you
It'll be fine

What crimes are we alleged of committing
What lies are we thought to have told
Why are these accusations flying
This life is getting kind of old
It's clear from the start we weren't kidding
You'd think our love was too bold
But until they realize my life without you
Is so numb, dead, and cold

I'd give everything I own
To make you smile once again
To have you laugh so hard you cry
And just know that I'm your friend
It's hard with all these haters
Living in this world of pretend
But if eternity is all we need
I'll gladly wait for the end
