Torn to shreds
My heart is so
Nothing in me
Not even a glow

Empty of emotions
Dead as can be
Through my heart
A piercing pain;
a deadly dart
Is all I crave

Why do I live
If I've nothing to give?
A useless existence
Only born to die
Trapped in my body
and struggling to fly

Like a bird without wings
My freedom is caged
My soul sometimes sings
As I continue to age
