Remission to the Illusions of Light

by Justwolfy   Jun 8, 2011

When I see your face,
The memories of that time, that place
Re-evolve into something new,
A feeling of how I once felt and how you
Once awaited my call,
3, 2, 1 - you dropped the ball
The dream ends with a farwell kiss,
This is all I remember, it is this
That breaks the light of day,
Left speechless, nothing to say.
Every chance I had to reach out to you,
Ends with silence, or something out of the blue.
I recede as the light comes through, then dark envelops the breaking of dawn
I awake from this dream, open my eyes, then yawn
All was just a dream, the feelings were so real,
I felt happy, jealous, and full of zeal
Then it ends with a waking to the world - reality takes it's toll,
I dream the same dream every night, my tears console
What is left of my unseen pain,
Tears fall, like a seasonal storm of endless rain
Visions of you,
Visions of I,
This is one reason, or maybe two,
To why
The tears take me back to the place of smiles,
Endless days without strife,
A seemingly perfect life,
The scene fades to black, night falls,
I await the beckoning call.
Empty inside,
Full of joy on the outside,
Illusory feelings take hold,
Don't be sold-
When I see your face,
The memories of that time, that place
Re-evolve into something new,
A feeling of how I once felt and how you
Once awaited my call,
3, 2, 1 - you dropped the ball
I still await,
Await that last call
