Glacial Kisses

by Jenni Marie   Jun 8, 2011

Lust lingers,
with its odorless fragrance
slowly disappearing

Smiles, turned into stone cold glares
if only..if only those euphoric times,
were not such distant memories,

If only,
our once red hot passion,
our silent promise of forever

Had lasted.

Ruby red lips
dripping with such venomous poison
glacial kisses turning into frosted ice

You've become,
as cunning as the serpent,
that tempted Eve

Empty words spew
from your putrid mouth

And your once tender embraces
lie within those arms
of a mendacious heart

    "Ruby rid lips"

I think you mean red :)

Have you seen the new Xmen movie? Your bit about venomous poison, glacial kisses etc reminds me of the evil chick on there. She was Miss Frost or whatever... very seductive, beautiful...but evil. Lol

I LOVE the use of "putrid" in this poem as well.

I like the second half of this piece more than the first..probably due to the feeling of intensity and passion. It's dark and evil and seductive. A beautiful combination!
