The Book of Life

by Lucky   Jun 10, 2011

Till this day I walk alone
Watching life pass by
Searching for my purpose in life
And taking a look inside

I guess Im suppose to fit in
And act like everyone else
To not have an opinion
And not be my self

To give in to pressure
And do things I dont want
Because I have to be liked
Or be victimized and taunt

I guess I also have to lie
To get what I want and need
Because life is like a game
And everyones your enemy

Yet people cry, and get all upset
Because people are just so mean
Even though just the other day
They were doing the exact same thing

I guess I have to be selfish
And only think of my self
Because life doesnt just hand out gifts
So why give it to someone else?

Life has its own book
It rules to help you survive
So I guess if you dont follow them
You will be eaten alive

The book of Life is a lie
And if your smart you will find
That there are other ways to be
And you can still survive

But because of the book of life
No one wants to change
Because they wont be like everyone else
They wont fit in, what a shame

So, till this day I walk alone
Watching life pass by
Searching for my purpose in life
And taking a look inside
Finding out Im different
From the Book of Life
