This was a lovely poem, Yaki's heart should be swelling every time she reads this. It is a great way to depict such a beautiful girl. You have a kind heart and it shines within this poem, not that it doesn't always. This challenge was great and you did an elegant and motherly job of portraying your feelings for her.

"A beautiful flower
with her face to the sun
and her back to the wind."

This was my favorite part of the poem, it was emotive and showed how far Yaki has come. I thought the idea of her face to the sun and back to the wind was excellent symbolism for strength. Your tone as always was what caught my attention, you spoke with such sincerity and it touched my heart.

I found this read to be interesting because sometimes its hard to put into words how you feel about a friend espeacially when you have never met that friend in person but I feel you did a great job with this piece and I agree with Mel when she said yaki's heart should be swelling everytime she reads this.
