About Jesus Christ.

He carries the proof of his love for us,
in the scars embedded in his back.
Made the day he was crucified,
each time his tormentors whip, would crack.

He sustains our every breath, with love and
tender care,
and shines a light on our darkest paths,
when we're trapped in deep despair.

True love and compassion, he bestowed on me.
And for this forever, thankfull I will be.
Each day I try to live for him, a life that is true,
he always lift my spirits up, when i'm down and
feeling blue.

With my last breath I will praise him,
and with the world, share his grace.
He took me out of the bondage of sin, by
dying in my place.
And as I journeyed each day, in this toxic world of sin,
he guides my every footsteps, and gives me peace
within.

he's even assured me of a place, in his home
in heaven above,
where I will spend eternity with him, and those that
I love.

    I so love this!! It's nice to finally meet someone else on this site who writes about Christ. I'm so blessed by the message in this great piece. I love the last verse because it tied everything to get and gave a perfect picture of your future hope.

    With my last breath I will praise him,

    This is so uplifting! I love the intimacy and how well your relationship with Christ translates through the poem. Poems like these really inspire to get to closer to Him. Great write :)
