Trust Issues

It starts off from the first promise
"I promise to love you forever"
I made the promise and she went with it
Knowing that her love is willing to go whenever

I read all the signs
But I ignored the warnings
Because I believed the girl who promised to forever be mine
Will still be there when I wake up in the morning

Secrets weren't told
Lies easily replaced them
This love I treasured was only fool's gold
If she can forget me and move on to him

Now I say f**k love
With all the s**t it's put me through
I showed you the love that anyone could ever dream of
And all you gave me before you left were trust issues.

    The rhyme wasn't always clear but it didn't do much to the poem and its message. The flow would be better if you kept the same amount of syllables in each verse, but that's fine.
    I think it's a quite good poem. I'm sure quite a few poeple have experienced this before. I liked how the emotional situation changed during the poem: It starts off in love and ends in disappointment/anger.
    All in all i think it's a nice poem, thanks for sharing and keep up writing!
