A Soldiers Life

by DeviRoseMoore   Jun 22, 2011

The gunshots fire,
And people scream
A baby cries,
While brave men die

Is there any good,
In this treacherous deed?
Each man fighting,
For what he believes

No soldier will ask to be saved,
He will simply say, "Tell them"
Tell them he loves them,
His wife and children

A bomb goes off,
Far in the distance
Ours or theirs?
Does it matter?

A mother chokes,
On buildings dust
Her husband crushed,
By fallen beams

Is there art in war?
Is there love in hate?
These are the unanswered questions,
Which we may never know
