Oh how we all long for that someone to complete us! I thought this poem was absolutely lovely. :-). The thought of trying to rekindle something you had before and how you put that emotion into this poem was brilliant!

Ben, your feelings in this poem come out in each line and it is easy to see that you love this person very much and you wish to make things right again. I think there are many people who realize after they lose someone that they really do want them or maybe they just made a stupid decision and want to take it back. Your poem flowed really good, but the rhyming seemed forced in some areas like you were trying to find words that would go together. Some stanza's however did have some good rhyming like this one.

"Nobody can hope to
Understand you like me
The loneliness we know
The solitude we seek."

This was my favorite stanza as it spoke a lot of truth in its message for this poem. It's true that once you get close to someone you understand them more and more and you both can relate to things so much easier then other people will be able to comprehend. The underlying sadness in this stanza is also strong as now it seems no one will be able to understand you since this person is gone. Very nicely done.

Altogether, your poem was catchy and with some changes to the rhyming or perhaps getting rid of it would make this poem stand out a lot more then it already does. You can cover the basic emotion a person feels when they lose some one they love and your talent really shows with the creativeness of the message. Great job and keep writing!
