Night is overbearing, stars and shooting hopes lost among the black sky.
I hold out a bit longer, to see you fading in and out of my vision;
suddenly, I am driven to hold on, though my dreams are being erased,
like a grand clock breaking down while my composure ticks away.
Feeling time slide from my grasp, I hear stars shifting, moving higher
like a sunrise is awakening. Near, and here to save me from any doubt.
This beam of daylight becomes my remedy and I no longer have to hide.
God is giving me a second chance, counting on me to not just make it last,
but show me the great return of light. I will never be alone or broken again.
