Childhood's end

by Larry Chamberlin   Jun 23, 2011

My love for you, child,
is boundless as the sea
but your red tide actions
suffocate my trust;
feelings rise belly up;
all I know is dead water.
Not even faith glimmers
hope of life beyond
this killing zone.
