The Awakening

by Beautiful Chaos   Jun 24, 2011

Burning embers of desire
She swore would remain dead
Reborn in those supple lips
Seared inside her head

She hid her face, a mask of shame
For all she thought she was
Could it be that life can change
When she feels it never does?

Is this feeling deep inside
The beating of a heart?
Temptation waking all she thought
Sweet love had torn apart

She couldn't bear the world to see
Her naked, fearful soul
Though heaven was before her now
She must fain some control
