Loving You Completely.

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 25, 2011

I'd promised there would be no chase to prepare your arrival;
You must come on your own, knowing my life has shed its lies.
I feel like I am creating my own sorrow, dying in torrents of rain,
until my acid tears let go each bitter drop that brings you back.
My heart has never felt so full; close to spilling over,
only with the strength of something deep that's been growing.
You once said in a dream, you would always be searching,
not just for my presence but the very essence of my peace.
I do not even know who I am supposed to resemble,
yet you travel distances, riding the storms,
finding the real me behind this mourning piece of raw work.
How I admire the wings your feet take on
because if I didn't have your devotion to wake up to,
I would have drowned without a second hand to save me.
Never will I leave you, I love you with every sacrifice I'll give.
