As I lay awake in the silences of night My heart starts to hurt and with ever beat comes one more tear from my eyes my throat starts to tighten it gets harder to breathe . I start to grasp for air as I shed another tear .every night I long to be in his arms again where it felt safe and right . Where his kisses gave me warmth and his smile light up my day .I long for the days we talked for hours . But as each day passes I begin to lose more of my heart and I become numb to any feeling . The pain has become my best friend and the thoughts have forever taken over my mind silencing me with the memories of the days when everything made sense .
