Our rights

by Joe common   Jun 28, 2011

We can deny ourselves of anything we choose, but
in the final outcome we came to our views all
on our own without questioning why ,or how
They came to be, and were we deceived by
What we perceived? But that's not up to me.

You can counter with lies that led to the rise
Of even more lies, and left you feeling upside down
On this merry go round of deceit, and defeat
That lead you to weep when you're alone, or
On the telephone with a complete stranger.

I can function like nothings wrong,
And run along to my fake little life
With three kids and a wife, but I've
Included you, not because I have to,
But because that's what I choose.
