The clock turns slowly minute by minute.
I feel the seconds drift by my eyes.
I want to continue on with you hand in hand,

Though I don't see you or hear your voice
Or even feel your lips against mine...
I can feel your heart beat against my chest,
Like a cathedral bell swaying back and forth.

It calms me...penetrates my mind...
Surounds my fears...and leaves a peace that warms my skin.

Why would you bury these feelings?

She was a poision...an acid eating away at my heart.
Wanting to demolish it, to make it as black as her own.

You are an ocean...a gentle summer breeze
A gentle sigh that only a lover can make.
I am re-centered...free...

Don't let the malice and hate blind you
Those emotions are toxic and consuming.

If you feel anything for me at all...
Close your eyes...think of me...
What do you see?

I've done the same for you...and I see your smile...
The glimmer in your emerald eyes...the softness in your voice...
The gentle touch of your fingers as they graze through my hair.

I was told to look inward for answers...
These words are what I found.
