A Girl

by Zoe Wilde   Jun 30, 2011

A girl so alone locked up in her room
She sits in a corner waiting in gloom

Hoping someone will hear her silent screams
Praying someone will fix her shattered dreams

Wont anybody help her, cant anyone hear her cry
No one even knows her so why even try

She sits on the floor as if she's in primary school
Locking her up with no food how could someone be that cruel

At night the girl dreams of freedom, the outside
All her faith in god had disappeared, died

She asks"God why did you abandon me?"
Silence, no one answered just misery

She cries alone on the dirty old floor
Her tears burn her cheek not like before

Tear my tear running down her face
She look in the mirror and mutters "disgrace"

Hope and faith all seems like a fantasy
The girl prays that one day she'll be happy

Get away from this place and be free and wild
Find someone she loves, find a home and have a child

But all she can do now is dream
Cry, shout and scream

One day she'll forget the past
About the pain that wont last
