Scared to do a thing

Shes just a teenage girl with hopes and dreams.
but on the inside, shes tearing at the seams.
shes sad and shes hurt. its been going on for a while.
but she covers it all up with an innocent little smile.

he causes her to lead a hard life. but she does her best.
when he comes near, she feels pain in her chest.
she feels heavy pounding, and realizes its her heart.
she feels its only seconds till it rips apart.

she says that shes in love. but i know its a lie.
she dosent want me to see it. but its in her eyes.
she has a a daughter that she loves very much.
you can see her love for her, with the slightest touch.

she tries to leave, but he always has a reason for her not to go.
i know hes lying because of the bruises that she is terrified to show.
i want to help her. but what can i do.
i promised to be there for her, to help her through.
