Remember Me

by Daisy if you do   Jul 1, 2011

Her mind,
it screams "Remember me"
in all of Springtime's bliss
for once the season's come to pass
we're left to reminisce

Her eyes,
They cry "Remember me"
in all of Summer's light
grasp those cheerful memories
don't let them from your sight

Her smile,
It Say's "Remember me"
in all of Autumn's glow
laughing in spite of ourselves
for things we did not know

Her heart,
It sings "Remember me"
even in Winter's chill
when all that remains are markers
on this cold and windy hill

My friend,
You mean so much to me
how could I ever forget
you taught me how to laugh again
I am forever in your debt

** Thank you Anna for always making me laugh. Your spirit sings to me.

Not normally a fan of rhyme this is one of the exceptions which break the rule. Very enjoyable and warm poem. Great read out aloud. Masterful.

    Kay,

What a lovely dedication to Anna, I have to agree with MaryAnne it was spirited and I think that's what I enjoyed most about it. You showed your friendship in an elegant manner, I liked how you related the seasons to certain aspects of her, especially the reference to Winter and the heart, it portrayed that even in hard times she still manages to 'sing.' A lovely flow, am not one for rhyme usually as you can probably tell from my poetry but this was really smooth and catchy so to say and I quite enjoyed the repetition of 'remember me.' I am sure Anna would love this.

I love the repetition of "Remember Me" and the flow of the yearly Seasons, It is some what like a Eulogy, but of course the admonition is for a Living Being, Precious the words still. Peace and Blessings
