Letter 10 ~Promises~

by Marcus blake   Jul 2, 2011

You survived that travesty that was soon a catastrophe
That moment when I realized you were no longer here
The same time I noticed you were gone...
I had hoped that you would stay a little longer
I enjoy your words, voice, the air you seem to bring my way
You enchant the scene, igniting this life on mine
So when the sparks went away, I realized you could not stay...
Life was seeping from your body although I could not see you
That great pain travels...
I wondered how a beauty like yours could be compromised
How a being like you could be lost in the void
Yet like a miracle you remain here...
I could never forget your face as I've cherished the memories
I'd like to fulfill those promise's too you
Now that you have the time
