Eternal Love

So many things cross through my mind everyday
So many feelings going every which way
Visions that go racing my mind night and day
Wondering if you are feeling the same.
Nothing shall ever compare to our love
Counting the blessings that are sent from above
Gifts of emotions, memories shared
Time that has passed that can never compare.
I give thanks to God though that life is the way that it is
Because it gave me the opportunity to cross paths and to live
Events in my life have come and have gone
Just like people and places certain tunes distant songs.
Relationships that have led me to nothing but suffering and pain
Only my little one to live for strength and patience to gain
Thought for once in my life I had found love so true
Then reality struck the day when I had met you.
I can honestly say that you are my first true and real love in my life.
The angel that guided me to a path that was right.
I know that I'm not the most prettiest woman alive
Or the smartest or the sweetest but I always try.
We've had our ups and our downs
And I must admit that we've both had our shares of let-downs.
Distance and time both played a role in our hearts.
Made my love grow stronger until the dreadful day that we came to part.
Words that were said from others and selves. 
Buttons were pressed and reality broke loose along with my fears.
Unconsoling tears and emotions with each passing day.
Fell down to my knees while I hoped and I prayed.
That this be just all a bad dream and that it will all fade away but nothing is the way that it seems.
Then time passed on and we went our seperate ways
Finding myself shattered and empty alone and astray.
Nothing can ever compare to your love.
It was a gift from heaven sent from way up above.
But like it's been said everything happens for a reason
We give and we take
Like war there's victory and sometimes even treason.
And we can't ever change our past just accept the change like the seasons.
I believe and I know that we were meant to be for one another
Even though I may not have been the first on your list
I am confident that I came closer than no other.
Yo have made my life better with each sun and moon that rises and sets
And you have placed a love in my heart mind body and soul that I'll never forget.
Impossible to erase transform or change.
Impacting eternal love through life now we exchange.
The future we hold shall be molded by us.
In you I confide and in you I will always trust.
You are part of me and the family we created
And forever we shall stand together never to be out dated.
Beauty thru life in each other hearts and eyes.
Infinite love through a new life will arise.
