When I Look Up at The Sky

by SunnyD95   Jul 8, 2011

I look up at the sky
And I wonder why it cries
Is it because the sun's no longer nearby?
And I wonder why you left that day without even saying goodbye.

I knew that something had gone awry.
For you grew cold and callous.
And no matter how hard I tried,
you just became more malice.

No longer was there love in your eyes.
Our love had come to a tragic demise.
I tried to love you but all I got in return were lies.

And now when I look up at the sky,
I now know why it cries.
It's because the sun left without even saying goodbye.

Nice write. The sun does controls our moods, and the night feels dark, does it not! But do not forget that to some of us writers the moon is lovelier, less brighter (shiny) and calming to our troubled soul. And if you crave for the sun again, wait 12 hrs (or some time), and you will see a new sun (or new love) reappear in the morning sky. So the message in your poem can be expanded if you wish to include do not loose hope, destiny will find its way, to make it powerful, hopeful and not sad. I like your expressions in this poem.
