Another Day

by Emily Strickland   Jun 21, 2004

I Sit In My Room
And Kneel Down And Pray
For The Strength To Get Up
And Face This New Day

Another Day Of Hurting
And Im The One To Blame
Im Sick And Tired Of Living
Playing Life's Stupid Game

Putting On The Smile
And Holding Back The Tears
But Im Used To It Now
I've Been Doing It For Years

My Mind Has Grown Numb
From Feeling All This Pain
Hiding Behind A Mask
Feeling So Insane

Inside I Am Dead
My Eyes Have Grown So Cold
Carrying With Me Sadness
And Stories Left Untold

Darkness Soon Begins To Fall
And The Day Is Finally Done
The Fight Is Now Over
Depression Has Again Won

Another Day Gone By
And Another Day To Come
I Sit And Wait In Darkness
For The New Dawning Sun
