Admire Me.

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 9, 2011

.

I am held,
fascinated,
by something greater
than their bright luster.

There is a personal
intelligence to them,
as if they have weighed
my own heartbreaks.

I watch them filter
moonlight through,
composing octaves
and abstract notes
that leave me hungry
for more nearness.

Their purity stirs inside,
they wouldn't leave
even if the sun shot by-
unable to miss
a note of loving.
