The Journey To Nowhere

by You Can Speak But I Can Rhyme   Jul 9, 2011

I went insane Yesterday
So many Yesterdays come n gone
I've lain in the darkness, counting Yesterdays,
Like counting sheep, nightfall to dawn
Always knew I was getting there,
No doubts, no qualms, nothing to mourn,
For amidst a chaotic insanity,
A sanity is reborn!!

The first signs visible, when I for once being sensible,
Killed my Humanity
Like an Axeman on a murderous spree
(Axeman, axeman, let loose your smiling axe,
Let loose the rage and set me free!!)

So I hacked it to pieces
And wrapped it in golden fleeces,
Of barbed wires
Set it ablaze in repenting fires,
Strangled it till it couldn't breathe,
I stabbed it so but it wouldn't bleed!!
(How could it? It was dead long gone,
A shrouded corpse - no signs of life, just lumbering on!!)
Like the people around me, all dead
Like the whispering voices in my head..

There's silence now!!
No beating of the poisoned hearts
No sacrileges of snickering laughs at a funeral
No sighs of tears, No screams in fears
No screams in pain, No screams in vain!!

There goes the fabric of reality,
Darkness ventures out amidst wisps of insanity,
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiippppppppppppp,
Life's a psychedelic journey on an acid trip!

So glad to escape that Goddamned racket..
Yes I'm en route Destination: Strait Jacket
(To be continued)
