My dearest Reader,

by Cate Rock   Jul 9, 2011

You are my reader...
and I'll be your Poet.
For sure strong in my words,
Love in my song, and all along you'll know this.

Be my audience,
I will portray your Bard.
Move my music
and learn to sing along.

Through the sad poems,
Through the happy ones too...
Sing true,
Stand by me as I stand by you.

As a little girl I did never knew the proper way to write a verse,
Never knew what to write,
Never knew not to curse.

Yet I sit here today...
And type away...
My feelings of anger...
And regret.

You my reader are why I thrive,
Either one comment or five,
You keep me alive.

My songs about pain,
May they protect you all.
And my merry happy songs
might they cheer you're soul.

Where ever you go keep the word close to ear,
and my verse close to lips.

One day we will thrive,
But today we are learning to survive.

My your travels into the poetic word bring you peace of mind and light of foot.
