Vernal definition of love ( Collab with The poetess)

by Yakari Gabriel   Jul 10, 2011

You are a crabbed additional
season, that exists somewhere

between day and dusk
between love and delirium
between desire and pain

(you are the beauty
within all of them)

that exists in a place
where tears are to the face
what a smile is to the soul...

you are not an empty Winter
nor a teenageing Autumn
but the summary
of a whole heartfelt year
without calendars
or months,

the eternal season that lingers
inside my heartbeats

that shakes to my core,
and tempests my femininity
whenever I attempt
to escape it

you're the pride
combing my braids
as youth blossoms upon
our cohesive palms.

----

To the lovely:Nano
It was an absolute pleasure working with you.

Not too sure that grammy award but this was definitely a wonderfully piece. The collaboration was incredible as I could not tell at any time where you two might have written a part. The entire poem flowed so well and all the stanzas linked together in a strong flowing manner. The words you use as stated above were very strong mental pictures for my mine and I loved how I could visualize everything with emotions and feelings.

"you are not an empty Winter
    nor a teenageing Autumn
    but the summary
    of a whole heartfelt year
    without calendars
    or months,"

This was simply amazing! :] I loved how you two used the months and times of year to personify this love you have for this person. Very poetic and ingenious. The emotions told so much in this poem and also poured out both of y'alls heart.

Overall, this has to be one the better collaborations I have seen in awhile. The unity is simply overwhelming and I am taken away with this lovely poem. I would say this is one of the best love poems that has been written in awhile. Great job and keep writing!

You two penned a romantic masterpiece!

The 'seasons' intermixing with 'love' is brilliant..

    The opening was capturing:

    You are a crabbed additional
    season, that exists somewhere

^ It paves the way to the rest of your identical ideas!

you are not an empty Winter
    nor a teenageing Autumn
    but the summary
    of a whole heartfelt year
    without calendars
    or months,
^ This part, I like so much (but I think teenagein is not written like this, am I right?)

The strongest wording was within these verses:

    and tempests my femininity
    whenever I attempt
    to escape it

^ So strong, and incisive beauty is deep within evry word,,, 'tempests' + 'femininity' + 'attempt' are very expressive... very enticing to use them in a poem!

And what was more beautiful than the closing?

    you're the pride
    combing my braids
    as youth blossoms upon
    our cohesive palms.

^ our cohesive palms == WOW!!

This very verse shows that you two poets are one.. Every verse is linked to the other, structurally, and mentally.. It's like one poet is writing.. I feel its unity and coherence all thru!

What an epic endeavor: ONE UNIFIED PACE :) :)

The emotions you've poured here made a leakage!!!! LOL 'leakage' --> +ve ;)

    MY MERE SUGGESTION:

Definition & Love should be capitalized in the title ;)

    5/5 you, two
and it's definitely worth a nomination (Oh, sorry, I've only done that on The Poetess piece.. Well it doesn't matter, right?)
    ;)
and a GRAMMY award, if that's possible!

And they complain about love poems!
sorry guys that I cnt write long comments this period of time, as my summer semester is keeping me busy, but let me go to the point, this was very well worded, and the flow was amazing!
Couldnt know who wrote what, which says you both fit together and can make a great harmony for a collab!

I love the opening and 3rd stanza the most...amazing imagination!

    5/5
