Innocent Woman

by Dawn   Jul 11, 2011

I only was just a woman
only half a sleep
when I woke up one morning
and found you next to me
staring at me
You were a stranger
waiting in my house
waiting for me to wake
so my life you could take
but why me
a small fragile old woman
when everything you needed
was right where you could see it
You needed blood on your hands
for what reason?
Why would you kill me?
But it's to late for that now
there's no going back
I am dead
Yet you are alive
the only good thing out of this
is that you might die
you can't kill again
so let's thank god
but you still have something
that I want
Life

To a family member of mine who was recently murdered by a man who could have just taken her car keys and left but waited for her to wake up and cut her throat. He watched her bleed to death. But thank go he was arrested
