Sound

by East Poetry   Jul 11, 2011

Sound... said to move in only waves,
but... is it a particle, I ask?
a particle that's made from thought
and shrinking really fast.

To never completely disappear,
But might as well be gone.
for they fade into a nothingness
...Yet forever carry on.

Becoming Alpha to their grandeur
Could "Sounds" Omega be our home!
Where the Entity that spoke it
put our existence in its dome!

If sounds alpha shrinks so tiny,
what would its Omega then be like?
being also under the shrinking spell
but infinity in size!

Perhaps this is the particle,
that has no need to fall.
the one that makes existence itself,

...the greatest disappearing act of all.

Why compress it though? Is there a need for it to be shorter? It's all ready a short poem, plus this compressed version not only makes less sence, bu you lost its rhyme and rhythm.

Here is how you could compress it.

    SOUND

Said to move in only waves,
    A particle, you ask?

    A particle made from thought
    and shrinking fast.

It might as well be gone.
    it fades into a nothingness

    Alpha is our grandeur
    Omega will be our home!

The sound, yeah, sound really does have an effect in our lives. When I was reading this piece, the "think twice before you speak" phrase came to my mind, because just like sound whatever we say can seem to disappeared into nothingness but it remains in someone's heart..

This piece is really thought provoking. It had me asking myself many questions and wondering stuff about sound.
