These Four Walls

by LockedAway   Jul 11, 2011

Locked away in a silent room
No way to escape
No windows to get out of
The love you put before me broke the walls
The room was no longer dark
There no longer was a room
But once you killed me
The walls went back up
Never to open again

There is no way to have a broken heart mended
It always hurts
Its whether you are going to let it take over your life
By these four walls the broken heart of mine
Has taken over
I will never love again

I find it hard to believe that this pain goes away with time
But it does
It takes time to forget that something that was good
Is gone never to been seen or heard of again
There is only one way to change your future
Move on

So these four walls around me now are getting cracks
I find that I can see through those cracks and see
My love
For now and forever

The message of this poem is really powerful and I think that it has an unbelievable depth. I really like the imagery you set and I'm sure everybody who has once been broken hearted or even let down can relate to this.

As humans we try to avoid getting hurt again that's why we build walls as mentioned in your poem. Yet new people come into our life and prove that they are trustworthy which makes the wall crack.

Keep up the good work! :)
