Once upon a time

Once upon a time in my wildest dream
We all would work together like a team
After the gold rush and our moody blues
We had a place to discuss the issues

Once upon time at poems and quotes
We had a forum to post love notes
It doesn't seem that long ago
Poets sometimes came here to grow

Once upon a time, my sweet valentine
When the world was pure I dreamed you were mine
Night mares will haunt me through the night
While I hope our future is always bright

Once upon a time I got a platinum award
In the land of punishment and reward
The measure of humanity once was the golden rule
Thank God for forgiveness, for times we act like a fool

    I really like this poem. i loved how you threw poems and quotes in there. I havent ever seen that in a poem here before :) My favorite line was:
    When the world was pure I dreamed you were mine
    this thought is so innocent and hopeful i loved it.

    btw nightmares is one word:
    Night mares will haunt me through the night

    A good type of friendship poetry.. and the unique line before every stanza.. 'once upon a time" brought me in past. when i had such a nice friends in my life. i really liked your poetry...

    the other thing the rhyme speaks good... that gives the reader a flow..

    your poem is so simple and nice flowing. anyone can enjoy it.. great work sir :)
