The Dream

When I go to sleep at night
I am not alone
Even though we are not together in person
We are together in our hearts.

When I go about my day
I long to hold you close
Even though we are not together in person
I can day dream about you in every way.

When I am sad
I want to kiss and cuddle you
Even though we are not together in person
I can close my eyes and pretend.

When I feel all has failed
I want to run to you, to be by your side
Even though we are not together in person
I just focus on the day we are together.
