Mirror tears

by Ashley jean   Jul 21, 2011

She wakes up in the morning, shuffles over to her mirror

her vision starts out blurry and becomes unfortunately, clearer

she fixates on her face, flushed and sullen, lack of rest.

takes the mirror in her hands, her heart knocking against her chest.

Tears flowing down her cheeks, she just longs to be herself

wants somebody by her side without a fear of any one else.

and possibly to have a day when she can look into that mirror

and say the name of her true love without worrying who may hear her.

she would change everything about her feelings, in a second if she could.

But the world is not that generous, so she will be misunderstood.
