Fragile Book

by Cinnamonspice   Jul 25, 2011

Opening the book of life
pages tattered and torn
memories once so vivid
faded and forlorn

Yellowed brittle paper
crumbled in my hands
how could life be so fragile
I just don't understand

How could precious moments
be erased as never there
leaving just an empty void
doesn't any body care?

The book began to tingle
warmth flowed through my hands
a soft light began to glow
incandescence did expand

The title of the chapter
was love that I had shared
as if touched by angels
my senses were soon aware

Friendships built with ardor
the circle never fades
once you are embraced in love
it will always be displayed

Connie, I cannot believe I never read this before.
I was totally and completely astounded by the words, and the flow and rhyme was like so damn perfect its unreal.
OMG I love this, it's just so sweet and so sad at the same time, yet just speaks from the heart and shows your love for your friends well.

OMG I dunno what else to say, the energy was soft, serene, and gentle.
    I love it!!!!

Such a mature piece. Looking at life like pages of a book. Life is just as fragile. Beautiful.

Very beautiful. Portrayal of life's moments as a book of life moments of friendship and love.
    A touching ending stanza:

    Friendships built with ardor
    the circle never fades
once you are embraced in love
    it will always be displayed
