At Arms Length [acrostic]

by Kuro   Jul 25, 2011

All I want, is what I cannot have
Lying deep inside I know the truth
Yet, awaiting a dream to come true
Searing, for you my heart is aflame
Suppressing every urge to be left
Awake without the dream, I'd rather

Pretend to sleep away reality
Obtaining a bliss that was meant for you
Perhaps the dream is at fault, keeping
Everything you are, at arms length

This was a great peice...I think this is one of those poems that everyone who reads it can relate to on differnet levels. Good job :)

This is an excellent piece. Short and heavy. Must say it is an alluring composition. Very easy to read because of the lucid flow of syntax. And the one you love being at arms length yet never merging into you is a heart breaking thought.
