Our time is up

by Elizabeth   Jul 27, 2011

I used to love you, with all of my heart.
But along the way, you tore it apart.
I fought through pain, and cried so many tears.
I can't believe I made it, through those three years.

I knew our time was up, and that I had to leave.
Our memories I count and one by one grieve.
I can't believe that I could of been so wrong.
But please don't chase me, my heart is long gone.

So maybe next time you'll be smart, and think first.
Instead of making me crave and die from this thirst.
I used to see love and now I see red.
From all of the hurt embedded inside of my head.

Let me go please, let me run free.
Let me discover, the young woman in me.
I tried to stay and be part of your soul.
But you killed my beauty, my bloods running cold.

I hope you realise, just what you have lost.
And that being so bitter, would come with a cost.
So i'll drift away silently, not making a sound.
Because if I had stayed longer, I would of drowned.
