The great confession

by firdaus   Aug 3, 2011

Beautiful day and a beautiful time
let me tell you a story while flipping a dime
a confession took place not so long ago
sit back and enjoy, this how the story goes

she's going away, overseas to study
the news came to him, but it wasn't easy
he tried to smile but tears in his eyes
he never want her to go, never say goodbye

"will you go out with me" thats what he said
after 6 months of knowing her, she's always in his head
the girl accepts and this is their second date
though she's going away soon, he's convinced that its not too late

he planned the date properly, from start to the end
he planned it properly, as though he wont plan again
his heart tells him "i want to get it right"
"I'll never let her go, not without a fight"

he dressed up perfectly like a prince
"its gonna be alright" he is convinced
a red rose he prepared to gave it to her
he got nothing to lose, he was so sure

when they met, the went for a movie
they enjoyed it so much, it made them happy
as the moment pass by he gets nervous
because confession, its always been serious

after the movie, he took her to hotel
for a luxury dinner, she couldn't tell
she was shocked that he brought her there
a place so grand, happiness to share

she felt guilty because its expensive
but to him, this date is an amazing gift
a chance for him to make it right
confessing his love with all his might

after the dinner, they went sight seeing
a beautiful place with beautiful lighting
they sat by a bench and its time to confess
for him to tell her everything, and his feelings nonetheless

"i love you, with all my heart
and i don't want us to be apart
its hard for me to let you go
i hope this feelings, you'll start to know

i know you're going away
and i have no right to let you stay
when i look at you, all i can see
the future it brings, just you and me

i don't want to regret at the end of the day
i need you here, so don't go away
my dear, honestly i cant be you friend
because i can no longer pretend

the feelings i have is so strong to contain
I'm sure our relationship, we'll be able to sustain
before i end this poem and put down this pen
my dear, will you be my girlfriend?"

How does it end? seems like you should put another stanza to finish it, sometimes there was in-proper grammar and sometimes the rhyme scheme seemed a little forced. but overall i enjoyed this. very nice
