When The Red Star Glows

by Jeff Weiner   Aug 4, 2011

The red star glows on a silent night
lighting spirits taking flight,
Beaming down on shattered souls
screaming as their bell now tolls,

Life flashing before their eyes
seeing sins and hearing cries,
The Pain they feel deep inside
pays for all that have cried,

Melting into earths crust
fading away like their trust,
Watching man for many years
making mistakes and shedding tears,

Are these angels or demons above
do spirits hate or show love,
This question looms inside our soul
wondering when our bell will toll,

When my time comes to an end here
my path to Heaven will be clear,
If the red star shines on me tonight
it will find a clear heart and a smile bright
