Preacher Child

Preacher Child
Heart of Gold
What are you hiding?

A shadow flits across your face,
Does your heart cry for a warm embrace?
What say ye, Preacher Child?

With your locks of silk,
And skin like milk,
Why do you look troubled?

Your eyes of Crystal Blue,
That make me feel so true,
What say ye, Preacher Child?

You smiled every time you looked my way.
For that smile directed at me, I pray.
What say ye, Preacher Child?

My hearts of glass,
Shattered and Scattered across
The door of your Soul.

Why did it happen, Preacher Child?
We were in love and wild.
Now my broken heart will never heal.
The door to it is sealed.

What say ye, Preacher Child?
My suffering has been caused by thee.
I loved you,
And where that love was, a hole now resides
Never to be whole again.

I threw open the doors to my soul,
For thee and thee alone

My heart and soul
Now are closed,
Never to be opened again.
