Silence

by leens   Aug 5, 2011

Is craved by some

Is what others are terrified of

Because just as the sea crashes against the shore,

Silence brings things

Things that are known and kept

Only at the back of one's mind,

Neither seen nor heard

It is what drives one mad.

Slowly, quietly.................

When in silence one is forced to think

.

Thinking brings ahead memories,

Some hurt others abandoned

But in a way it is worse than torture,

Because then at least you can blame another

But surely if you are mad,

The only one to blame is oneself?

Silence is loud

Silence is terrifying

Yet it is sweet and fills ones needs

Silence is feared

Silence is craved

Yet not one day goes without its company,

And as one writes about silence,

There is a noise of the surrounding inhabitants,

Yet there is always a silence,

If you look beneath the noise,

It is there soft and quiet,

Yet loud and serene.

You cannot escape it,

Much as you try

The world is noisy

But it is always silent.
