Is it Worth It?

Is it worth it,
To live behind a fake smile,
To tell others that you're OK when you're not,
To watch others get what they want while you get nothing,

Is it worth it,
To be hurt by the people you care for,
To be hated and despised by the ones you love,
To have others say that they care for you when you don't care for yourself and their words are meaningless,

Is it worth it,
To live in sorrow and still give other faith,
To throw your life away for strangers you've never met,
To help others get through their struggles in life as your life is ending,

Is it worth it,
To live as one of the broken,
To heal others that are like you and never taking time for yourself,
To guide people in the right direction and leave yourself lonely,
To keep going because everyone else wants you to when you just want to let go and give up...

It's worth it to me,
That's just how I live,
But then you're already asking yourself,
Is it worth it?

    I think these are questions that are ask a lot over the space of our lives. To me it's worth it cause in the end I know what I did was right.

    Your words gave voice to some others that are afraid to speak out. Excellent write with an awesome theme
