Awash in a Sea

by UM   Jun 22, 2004

Awash in a sea,
Frothy and light green.
On a wild spree,
Lost in a wild scene.

The water swirls,
Around my head.
I glimpse pearls,
In a crevice ahead.

Breaking the surface,
Quickly, I take a breath.
Hoping to resurface,
I am sucked under in living death.

The turbulence slows,
But it doesn?t matter.
I am caught in the flows,
Just waiting to shatter.

A dark object,
Can be seen ahead.
Sharp, I suspect,
I begin to feverishly tread.

It is no use to fight,
The current has me.
I am wild with fright,
Help me I plea.

Gaining speed,
My death I view.
I meet the steed,
That pierces me through.
