Rain Respite...

by Polaroid   Aug 8, 2011

I remember what spring
used to be like there
how the warm rain
would come down in sheets
day after day
night after night
I remember how
the trees would look
as they began to
come alive again
Running through the river
in my bare feet,
looking for another world...
all the while the rain would fall
on and off
dampening my hair
plastering it to my face
the water was cool and fresh
and it was at those times
that I felt most alive
as if I could stay outside
in the rain
forever.
