I can't

by NineteenMinutes   Aug 8, 2011

I don't watch the news no more it's filled only with affliction,
It'll get worse and worse that is my prediction,
I can't listen to music no more it's filled with lies,
Superficial lyrics about what's beautiful in our eyes,
I can't ride the bus no more it's filled with lonely faces,
Of people on their way to and from distant, lonely places,
I can't look at old friends no more because I don't know who they are,
I watch the distance between us growing increasingly far,
And I don't have faith no more I have lost my will,
I really mean to try but I find I'm staying still,
I don't have faith no more and that's one of my choices,
I can't listen to faith no more I've silenced all the voices.
