What You Don't See

by Sigoney Holder   Aug 9, 2011

There's a fire burning within me everyday

Hell itself couldn't rival with it when people get in my way

Now if asked where it came from I couldn't reply

Since I'm normally a fun loving and happy go lucky kind of guy

The grass is always green in my world

Except when it comes to being with girls

Now here's where I lose it completely and there's no going back

Just one pretty face hot body and a killer smile then out of nowhere a heart attack

By this time I'm falling heavy and way too fast

Then just when I pluck up the courage to utter the forbidden

Little Miss pretty tells me it isn't going to last

So now I'm right back to square one

Until another cutie comes along

At this point you're probably thinking I'm pretty cold but you have no idea

It's just I can't fall apart because of a few mishaps

Now you may think it's just me being macho

But it's actually out of pure fear

Since all I've ever wanted is to be loved and treated right

Instead of being messed about with lies and them claiming that they can't tell me the truth out of fright

So I just take it on the chin

Pretend I'm fine even though deep down I no longer feel anything

Maybe that's why I can't keep my cool

Because I'm an easy target when it comes to being a fool

So now you know how I really feel

And who it is you really see

So tell me beautiful is there a future for you and me.
